Build a dashboard for your Cyberwatch connector

Updated over 8 months ago

To track the metrics and indicators automatically fed by your Cyberwatch connector, you can create a dashboard for reporting and monitoring the values retrieved each week.

Here is an example of a dashboard you can create using Cyberwatch indicators:

In this example, we list data retrieved from a single perimeter (thus from a single Cyberwatch connector) whose configuration filters a single Cyberwatch group.

Creating the Dashboard and Sections

To create a dashboard and sections, refer to this article.

Global Section

In this section, I add the Cyberwatch logo for better clarity on the main topic of the dashboard, along with a comment block to provide more information about value updates in the different dashboard blocks.

After downloading the Cyberwatch logo, we then add a new block in the Global section:

Then, I select Comments, and the block is created within our dashboard.

We insert an image and adjust the block size accordingly.

We create a second block in the same way to add more comments.

Assets Section

In this section, we add all the Cyberwatch indicators related to assets:

  • Monitored Assets

  • Assets without Critical Vulnerabilities

  • Recently Scanned Assets

  • Recently Monitored Devices

  • Number of Verified Devices

To add these indicators, when adding a block, we select Operational Indicators:

Then, we search for the relevant indicators by their name or ID.

As needed, you can modify the display using gauges, histograms, numbers, etc.

Vulnerabilities Section

As with the previous section, the process of adding blocks is exactly the same.

We then search for the following indicators:

  • Open Vulnerabilities

  • Open Critical Vulnerabilities

  • Security Configuration Compliance

💡 Depending on the reporting you want to generate, you can also create your own performance indicators and track them in the same dashboard. Read this article to learn how it works.
