Performing a recurring task means documenting, for the current period, whether the associated control or action was actually carried out. This completion feeds the task's history and updates the measure's operations score.
🔎 For more details on how completing recurring tasks impacts a measure's scores, read this article.
There are two ways to access a recurring task that needs to be completed:
From the Recurring Tasks module, accessible to pilots.
From Contributions > Recurring Tasks, accessible to contributors assigned to the task, as well as to pilots.
⚠️ Completion options depend on the task type: operational tasks (security operations) are completed as Done or Not done, while control tasks are completed as Done OK or Done KO (in addition to Not done). The Not Applicable option is available if it has been enabled for the task.
Pilots: performing a recurring task from the Recurring Tasks module
Accessing the task to complete
From the Recurring Tasks module, open the register and find the task with the "To do" status. These tasks appear as dark blue squares. Click this square to open the completion form, or open the task and go to the History tab and select the period to handle.
Filling in the completion
The completion form lets you specify:
Status: choose Done, Not done, Done OK, Done KO, or Not Applicable, depending on the task type and the options enabled
Performer: specify who carried out the control
Completion date
Comment
Attachment or link: attach evidence or additional information, for example a list of deleted accounts
Validating your completion
Click Save. The completion is logged and appears in the recurring task's history.
💡 If an approver is configured on the task, the completion first moves to Pending approval status. Once approved, it becomes final. If it is rejected, it goes back to Rejected status and must be corrected and resubmitted. Without an approver, the completion becomes final as soon as it is saved. A completion entered as Not done is always final immediately, whether or not there is an approver.
Completing metrics if an indicator is attached
If an indicator is attached to the recurring task, a window automatically opens after saving to enter the values of the associated metrics.
⚠️ Entering metrics is independent of the completion status. If the task has already been completed but the metrics haven't been entered, you can complete them from Contributions > Metrics.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between Done and Done OK?
Done applies to operational tasks. Done OK and Done KO apply to control tasks: Done OK means the control is compliant, Done KO means it isn't.
Can I modify a completion that's pending approval?
No, a completion in Pending approval status cannot be modified. If it's rejected, it moves to Rejected status and must be corrected before being resubmitted.
What happens if I don't complete the task before the end of the period?
The completion moves to Overdue status once the period has elapsed. It remains to be handled, but as long as it isn't entered, it reduces the task's logging rate and completion rate.
Once a task is marked Not done, can I change it back?
No, a completion entered as Not done is final and can no longer be modified.
