Create a metric template from the catalog
To create a metric template that you can reuse (for several perimeters for example) you will need to go to the catalog > “Metrics” tab > “Add a metric”
Metric Name: Enter the desired name
Identifier: not required, if you leave this field empty the solution automatically generates an ID
Periodicity: ⚠️ once there is a history of data entered, you can no longer change it!
Grouping / Scope: The elements of the private catalog are attached to a level of your organization, by default that of the user who created them. For example, a metric created by a global administrator will be attached to the root.
By default, admins only see items at their level and above. It is possible to display all elements (including those created below your attachment) by activating "See all":
Elements attached to a higher level are read-only (like public elements).
You can then use the metric template, by operating it for the grouping or perimeter of your choice, from the catalog: Catalog > "Metrics" tab > "Operate metric"
Create a one time metric
To create a metric just once, the easiest way is to go to Dashboards > “Metrics” tab > “Add a metric”
then choose the settings:
Metric name: enter the desired name
Identifier: not mandatory, if you leave this field empty the solution will automatically generate an ID
Frequency: ⚠️ once there is a history of data entered, you can no longer change it!
Grouping / Perimeter: allows you to automatically associate the metric with the associated groupings or scope.
💡If you have a perimeter that collects the metric for another perimeter, you can, by going to the "Assignments and delegations" tab, choose the collecting perimeter and/or the user/group of users who will collect your metric in the desired perimeter.
Import a metric
You can also import metrics massively into the solution, whether they are templates or not, the operation is the same.
To do this, go to Dashboards > Metrics > Import XLS:
Or Catalog > Metrics tab > Import XLS:
By clicking on “Import XLS” you will be able to download the file template to fill out to carry out your import into Tenacy. An “Instructions” tab will help you fill it out.
