The action priority scale defines the priority levels available when creating or editing an action in Tenacy. It is shared across the entire tenant and applies to all action plans.
If the default levels do not match your organization's standards, you can create a customized one.
💡 The public scale provided by Tenacy cannot be modified directly. To customize the priority levels, you need to create a new private scale and activate it via the tenant preferences.
Step 1: Check the default scale
In the navigation bar, click the ⚙️ icon, then go to the "Scales" section.
Click the "Priority" tab to view the default priority scale configured in Tenacy: this is the public scale "Action priority."
This scale has three levels: Low (value 25), Medium (value 50), and High (value 75). An unmodified action receives the default value of 50 (Medium).
You can use this scale as a reference to create your own.
Step 2: Create a new scale
To create your new scale:
You can use an existing priority scale as a template and edit it. To do this, hover over the scale's row and click the "Create copy" button at the end of the row.
You can start from scratch. To do this, click "+ Add scale" and fill in the different levels (name, numeric value, color).
Levels are represented by numeric values: the higher the value, the higher the priority. Click "Save" and note the ID of the new scale.
Step 3: Activate the new scale
Go to ⚙️ Settings then "Preferences". Search for the "action.priority_scale" preference and click on it. Replace the scale ID with the ID of your new private scale, then save.
⚠️ This change applies to the entire tenant: all users will see the new priority levels as soon as it is saved.
Frequently asked questions
What happens if an action's priority doesn't match any level of the new scale?
In displays, the numerically closest level is used to represent the priority. In action edit mode, a message flags that the value is out of scale and prompts you to choose an existing level, which automatically applies the correct numeric value.
Can I switch back to the public scale after moving to a custom scale?
Yes. Simply put the public scale's identifier back into the "action.priority_scale" preference, the same way you would activate a private scale.
What is the default priority value for a new action?
Every new action receives the default value of 50, which corresponds to the "Medium" level on the public scale.
