Set up the Bitsight connector

Updated over 8 months ago

Bitsight is a leader in cyber risk management, transforming how organizations manage exposure, performance, and risk for themselves and third parties.

This connector allows you to synchronize Bitsight Findings as gaps in Tenacy.

Each Finding with a Grade field greater than or equal to the selected Minimum Grade is added or updated as a gap in Tenacy with the following details:
First Seen, Last Seen, Finding Severity, Asset Importance, Details, and Comments in the gap description.

Add and Configure the Connector

To add this connector, go to: Catalog > Connectors > Bitsight > Add a connector

After adding it, you must configure the following:

  • Operator Perimeter: The perimeter responsible for operating and defining the rules for external vulnerability scans. Gaps will be linked to this perimeter by default.

  • Frequency: How often to import CSV files from Bitsight. We recommend matching this to the frequency of your Bitsight reports (whether generated automatically or manually).

Once the connector is created, continue with the configuration:

  • Minimum Grade: From Poor to Good, to filter Findings and only import those that are relevant to you.

  • Gap Register: Bitsight Findings will be synced as gaps in Tenacy if a register is selected from the provided list. A dedicated register is included, or you can create your own by entering a new name—Tenacy will create the register when you save the configuration if it doesn't already exist.

  • Maximum Number of Gaps: Set this only if you want to limit the number of created gaps (maximum: 100). If left blank, Tenacy will sync all Findings identified by Bitsight as gaps.

💡 This connector is not triggered automatically. It requires the user to upload a Bitsight Findings report in CSV UTF-8 or CSV (comma-delimited) format.

The CSV report must include at least the following columns:

  • Vector and Identifier, to map each finding

  • Remediation Status, to sync the gap status

  • Grade, to determine the gap's severity and apply the minimum grade filter

  • Assigned To, to identify the related perimeter and assign gaps properly (optional). The value must match a mapped perimeter in Tenacy; otherwise, the gap will be linked to the operator perimeter.

  • First Seen, Last Seen, Finding Severity, Asset Importance, Assets, Details, and Comments, to enrich the gap description.

Run Your First Test

Once the connector is fully configured, test the integration by running an initial execution:

Go to ⚙️ > Connectors > Click on the Bitsight connector > Run now

💡 Don’t hesitate to contact Tenacy support if you have any questions.
